FYI. There is another take on old Cassini. UltiDev Web Server Pro is a free and redistributable web server. It is more like IIS 6 and replaces old UltiDev Cassini. It can be used as
a development web server or as regular non-interactive (service based) web server.

Latest release of UltiDev Web Server Pro (UWS) lets you
replace MS WebDev.WebServer with a couple of clicks.

is there a possibility to use ultidev webserver as a library, like cassinidev:
_server = new CassiniDevServer();
_server.StartServer();

Hi there!
Although it's not possible to use UltiDev Web Server Pro (UWS) exactly like you have described, it's possible to use
UWS Configuration API to register/unregister an application to start/stop the app. Please post to
UWS Support Forum to get more help.

@vgribok : UWS is not open source. That alone makes CassiniDev much more desirable.
